Hotmail hacking is one of the most prevalent crimes in the modern scientific and technological era. Cybersecurity is a crucial component of our life because nearly all of our sensitive information and credentials are stored online. Therefore, in the hands of an adversary, a security compromise could cause severe problems. Even if you suspect that your account has been compromised, you must promptly change your password. Internet accounts are one of the primary targets of hacking. Hotmail has made it much easier to recover a Hotmail/Outlook account by changing their recovery method. Your account may also be inaccessible for additional reasons; for more information, visit the Hotmail Login Problems Page. However, it may still be difficult for many users.
We are here to provide you with a simple guide to recovering your hacked Hotmail/Outlook account.
Recovering Hacked Hotmail/Outlook Account
Sometimes, before trying out desperate measures, it is better to try to reset hotmail password. If you have added a secondary email or a phone number to your account it might be easily recoverable by this method. Below are the steps to reset your hotmail password.
Go to the Hotmail/Outlook login page and enter your email address and password. After the login fails, Hotmail will provide you an option to reset your password. Click on the reset button as indicated by the blue arrow to begin.
Now, Hotmail will provide you with 3 options. Click on the option as shown below.
(Although all of the options lead to the same page, it is better to select the exact issue for troubleshooting ease)
It is better to select a reason if a suitable reason is found. You can also enter a custom reason up to 200 words. Then, click Next.
Hotmail will now go through a verification process. First enter your Hotmail email address (the one you are trying to recover). Then do a Captcha test as shown below.

Choose the option that you deem suitable and proceed. If you have entered your email address, then you will get a mail instead of the SMS code that we will show you in this guide. Don’t worry, the steps are similar.
After you have entered the last 4 numbers of your phone number or your email address. Click on Send code.
Enter the code that Hotmail sent you to your phone or the secondary email. Then click Next. If you want to select another method than the one you selected click on the option below the code box.
Now enter a new hotmail password for your account. Make sure that you create a strong password with Capital letters and numbers.
Click on next to end the process.
Outlook/Hotmail will now greet you with this message.
